19 weeks and counting

Today Marks our nineteenth week. It's exciting to know that in one week we'll be half way through this journey. Well, its exciting because it's seems so real at this point. Yet saddening because I feel everything has gone by too fast to be able to enjoy as much as id like.
As im writing this I cant help but smile. S&C's little boy almost seems to know im speaking of him. I say this because 10 minutes ago he was super still, and at this point hes moving arround sooo much kicking and twirling, continuously. Im happy to know he's a strong, smart active little boy!

18w4d

I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going by! I'll be 19 weeks on Sunday, and seriously it seems as though a few weeks ago was our transfer date.
Ive been feeling baby movements for sometime now. However, recently the movements are more constant and my boys are able to put their hands in my abdomen and slightly feel the movements aswell.
Last week I finally accepted that my prepregnancy pants no longer fit comfortably. So to avoid any future temptations I've stored them into my closet where they'll sit for the next few months until I'm back to my pre pregnancy size.
San Diego heat had been crazy for the last month or so, ranging from low nineties up to 105 degrees Fahrenheit and in some areas even hotter! YUCK!!! Extreme heat means extra consumption of water, which results in frequent bathroom breaks. Luckily yesterday seemed to have cooled down some, so I'm hoping we'll start having normal weather soon.
Overall this pregnancy had been a breeze, no severe symptoms or constant discomforts so this pregnant lady is as happy as can be :-) :-)

17 weeks

Today marks 17weeks 2 days, time is just going too fast.
My belly has definitely popped out,  fetal movements are most continuous as are the constant bathroom trips :)
This little boys is sooooo good, I feel him kicking and moving all day but come night time he lets me sleep like a baby. WHAT A LITTLE ANGEL!!!
Yesterday was my 4 week check up with my obgyn, everything was perfectly fine, little man has a strong steady heartbeat, is able to suck his thumb (and foot) and we were able to see bits and pieces of his handsome facial structure. I'll see my Dr again in four weeks and will also see a perinatalogist who will preform a full anatomy scan of this little guy to assure all is well.
Life as a pregnant women in sunny San Diego definitely isn't the funnest during the heat, but I'm able to make a due and enjoy every bit of it. Although I'll admit,  I'm dieing for some rain and some cooler weather :-)

14 weeks and counting

As of last week I was hardly showing a belly whatsoever. I had a tiny bump and even that was barely noticable.  Well that's changed. It feels as though over night my belly just popped out of no where. I even had a co - worker who had no idea I was actually pregnant - ask me if I was expecting.  I was in total shock to say the least. I confirmed my pregnancy with her and finally accepted that it wasn't just me who thought I was beginning to show. So here we are, 14w5d with a little bump of joy :)

It's a healthy baby............. (boy?/girl?)

So its time to update my blog to reveal S&C's baby's gender.
Early Monday morning upon calling the lab, I was so relieved to hear that the harmony results were no longer pending. HOW EXCITING!!!
The results revealed that the little one that I'm carrying for S & C is not only a baby boy, but a healthy baby boy. The 3 chromosomes tested came back as low risk with a low 1/10,000 probability and revealed that come February 2015 C & S will be welcoming another sweet baby BOY into this world. 💙💘

Another waiting game

I'm almost into my 2nd trimester now, how Exciting!!! Time has definitely flown by. I still don't have a belly. I do however have a very small ball like shape in my lower abdomen, but it's hardly noticable. Pregnancy symptoms are the usual morning sickness every few days and having to use the restroom ALL the time. I must say this pregnancy is pretty much a breeze.

What hasn't been a breeze is the waiting game my IPs and myself have been playing for what feels like an eternity. I was instructed by my OB to have a blood test called the Harmony which would test for certain fetal abnormalites as well as reveal the gender of S & C's little one. Well I had the blood test done on July 29th and here we are on August 9th and have yet to receive any results. I've called my Dr's office several times and each time have been notified that the results are still pending. I've even called the lab to request the results myself and nothing. Each time they say the same thing "there's a 7-10 day turn around period and we hope to have the results in by tomorrow". I know not to stress over things or events I have no control over, but my goodness how long can it possibly. Not to mention the test itself if pretty expensive so you'd think the lab would have more staff or better business hours or SOMETHING to make the turn around period for results less.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that when I call the lab on monday that instead of hearing the representative say the same thing I've heard  multiple times, that instead she ask for my fax number so she could fax the results :)
That would make for an amazing Monday and finally put this waiting game behind us.

Brighter skies

It's been about a week since my last entry, and oh man so much has changed or is in  the transition of changing.
I met with my obgyn last week and our Consultation went amazing. He enlightened me on a few new topics that I had no idea of, and some that I was pretty familiar with already.  At that appointment he ordered some blood work one of which included the harmony genetic test. This test will test C & S's embryo for genetic abnormalites and determine the babies gender aswell,  HOW EXCITING!  I'll be having that test aswell as other blood work done this coming Monday, which means 10 days later C and S will know if they're having a boy or a girl :)
Another source of happiness comes from the fact that in 3 days exactly I will FINALLY be done with all the medications I've been on for about 3 months. That means no more sticky residue from constant transdermal patches, no more vaginal suppositories,  and the best of all NO MORE DAILY INTRAMUSCULAR INJECTIONS!!!! I'm sooooooh happy about that.

And as if all that positive news wasn't enough, I just got word from my business manager that effective tomorrow I will have a full time personal assistant helping me with all my daily tasks at work. That means no more stressing out about deadlines, no more rushing to get things done last minute and no more never ending "To Do" lists. I can finally breath and enjoy life family and this pregnancy journey. Everything is finally falling Into place and I Honestly couldn't be happier.
